Good morning P.S. 25 Family, Happy Tuesday! Ms. Mestizo, the Family Peer Advocate at Masa NY, a non-profit organization based in the Bronx, NY has reached out to invite you to a Virtual Workshop on Disability Inclusion tomorrow! At Masa, they work closely with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to support undocumented and Indigenous families, though we welcome all families and youth in need of assistance. They have reached out invite our families to an upcoming virtual workshop that Masa NY is hosting in collaboration with IncludeNYC this Wednesday at 10:00 AM. The workshop will be held in Spanish and is designed to provide families with a safe and supportive environment to deepen their understanding of disability. Throughout the session, we will engage in activities and discussions aimed at combating stigma and fostering inclusion in our communities regarding disability. We kindly ask that bring your child to school with $1.00, all of the money collected will be donated to Breast Cancer Research. All NYC families of current fifth-grade students are invited to join a live virtual information session about applying to middle school. After the presentation, they will respond to your questions.
